Arsenal picked up their first win of pre-season on Friday morning by beating MLS All-Stars 2-1 in San Jose.
Joel Campbell fired Arsenal ahead from the penalty spot on 11 minutes, before Chelsea legend Didier Drogba - now with Montreal Impact - maintained his stellar record of scoring against the Gunners by equalising on the stroke of half time.
However, Chuba Akpom, who replaced Theo Walcott on 67 minutes, proved the match winner as his strike with three minutes to go spared Arsenal's blushes somewhat.
It seemed to be a particularly frustrating night for Walcott, who spearheaded Arsenal's attack in the absence of Olivier Giroud of the 27-year-old had little impact.
It has been a horrendous 2016 for the England international, whose form appears to have completely desserted him after suffering with a crisis in confidence.
Walcott might be wise to stay off Twitter for a while in the interest of preserving whatever confidence he has after Arsenal fans put the boot in over his performance this morning.
So apparently theo Walcott was trash again— Daubry! (@7Amilcar) July 29, 2016
Walcott was absolutely pony last night wasn't he? Can't even defend him any more. Desperate for a new forward.— #DW23 (@ArsenalVenter) July 29, 2016
Why does Walcott still have a career? Why? Answer this someone please— sean (@FutboISean) July 29, 2016

@BBCSportsday Arsenal have to get rid of Walcott. 10 years of no improvement and holding us back now.— John Gray (@dollygray47) July 29, 2016
I'm sorry man but Walcott's terrible— Tony Mcginnis (@Tony_Mcginnis) July 29, 2016

Walcott was lively to start with but after missing couple of half chances, any confidence he had, vanished, followed swiftly by his desire— Stuey (@Stuarsenal75) July 29, 2016
Walcott was so bad last night the man couldn't even finish a tube of Pringles— Chris Irving (@1rving) July 29, 2016
