Tottenham Hotspur's Federico Fazio
Reports in Italy are suggesting that AS Roma could be about to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio.
It is reported by Sky Sports Italia, as relayed by La Roma 24, that Tottenham have approached Roma regarding their potential interest in signing the player – as they are aware that the Giallorossi are on the hunt for a new central defender this summer.
Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is known to be a fan of the Argentine and the two clubs have a god working relationship – which could also help facilitate any move.

However, it is believed Fazio would only be brought in as a last choice.
Fazio spent the second half of last season on loan at former club Sevilla but was sent off 25 minutes into his second debut for the club and struggled to find his form, playing just six times.
The Argentine international played just once for Spurs last season, in a Capital One Cup defeat to North London rivals Arsenal, and he is not a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans at Tottenham Hotspur.
