According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United winger Jordan Botaka is a transfer target for a host of League One sides.

Oldham Athletic are thought to be interested in signing Botaka, alongside a number of their rivals in the third tier.

Botaka has struggled to make an impact at Leeds, since arriving last summer.

The 23-year-old’s arrival at Elland Road caused great excitement, but he failed to break into the Whites’ team last term.

With the arrivals of Kemar Roofe and Hadi Sacko during the current transfer window, Botaka appears to have slipped even further down the pecking order at the Yorkshire club this time around.

And the YEP suggest that Garry Monk could look to move Botaka out on loan to aid his development.

Botaka has made just 10 appearances for Leeds to date, and he is yet to score in English football.

Leeds begin their competitive campaign with a match against Loftus Road at the start of August.
