Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to soon announce a third new addition.
According to a report from Get French Football News, Tottenham Hotspur player Clinton N’Jie’s proposed loan move to Marseille is being held up due to a visa issue.
The 22-year-old is widely expected to complete a temporary return to Ligue 1 this summer, allowing Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to head in the opposite direction. However, an alleged mistake on N’Jie’s part has prevented the move from being completed earlier.
GFFN claims N’Jie did not properly process his application on Wednesday, leading to its rejection and the need to reapply.
The report goes on to claim that the Tottenham player has already passed a medical and should still complete his loan move in the next 48 hours, allowing N’Koudou to finally be announced as a Spurs player in the process.
N’Jie only arrived at White Hart Lane last summer from Lyon. However he made just eight Premier League appearances and 14 in all competitions in no small part due to a serious knee injury.
Some Tottenham fans will see him as unlucky while others feel he is not cut out for Spurs and needs to move on to kick-start his career.
