Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has said at his latest press conference, which was broadcast on the International Champions Cup’s official Facebook page, that he has been very pleased with Will Miller and Marcus Edwards.
Miller and Edwards have joined Spurs’ first-team for their pre-season tour of Australia.
The pair were both handed a chance in Tottenham’s recent friendly against Juventus, and their performances caught the eye.
Miller played a half at left-back, while Edwards came on in the second-half to good impact.
And Pochettino said: “I think we have plenty of young talent. I’m very happy with Will, like Marcus.
“But it’s a very interesting story [with Miller]. I knew a few days ago that when he was a kid he was involved with movies.
“I think he can be a very good footballer. He’s young, he’s a very good boy with a fantastic character and personality.”
Miller is generally stationed in an attacking role when playing for Tottenham’s youth sides.
However, he still showed his quality from left-back, and his technical ability came to fore.
Miller is yet to make his competitive debut for Spurs, but he appears to be edging closer towards selection.
If Miller does join Tottenham’s first-team squad next season, he will be the latest in a long list of Spurs youngsters to be rewarded with an opportunity by Pochettino.
