Tottenham's Christian Eriksen applauds fans after the game

Tottenham's Christian Eriksen waves to fans after the game
Eriksen is quoted by Tribal Football as telling reporters in Melbourne:
“We need to bring what we did last season.
“We have the same team, we did well with the same team last year. Now we have two new players and hopefully that will make us even stronger.
“That will make us push even harder for one of the spaces we want but it's too early to say if we want the title or not.
“For us, we have to see where we are and continue to do well."

The two new signings he refers to are midfielder Victor Wanyama and striker Vincent Janssen, signed from Southampton and AZ Alkmaar respectively this summer.
The pair have arrived to fill some gaps in the Tottenham team and add strength in depth to a side who will be playing Champions League football in 2016-17.
Both players have shown some glimpses of form during pre-season and Eriksen will be hoping to benefit from both players’ influence.

Wanyama’s combative style should free him up to be more advanced, whilst the Dane will also be hoping to play off of the Dutch striker when he is charged with leading the line.
Spurs will be hoping that the two newbies can have a big influence on Tottenham’s fortunes this campaign.
