It proved to be another successful run out for them as they secured 3-1 victory to build on the 3-0 win over Barnsley in their first pre-season game.

They were in impressive form at Stadium MK, with Gerard Deulofeu in particular shining in the new false nine role he has been handed by manager Ronald Koeman.

The Dutchman was impressed by his side’s work, but insisted that they still have much to learn.

It remains to be seen if Everton can continue to improve during the remainder of pre-season as they continue to learn their new manager’s methods.

They have mad a strong start to life under the Dutchman so far and both their understanding and performances are only likely to improve as pre-season progresses.

Much is likely to rest on what work Koeman can do in the transfer window, with the right signings sure to help him further implement his strategy at the club.
