The Leeds United CEO is very excited about Hadi Sacko.
The 22-year-old attacker joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Sporting Lisbon in June to become one of six signings made by manager Garry Monk so far this summer.
BBC reported at the time that the deal was made with a view to a permanent stay at Elland Road upon the completion of his loan next summer.
Mansford, who also joined the Yorkshire club last month, is enthused by all of Monk's pre-season acquisition thus far, but the former Barnsley chief executive seems particularly excited about the France Under-20 ace, whom he claims could be "quite the find".
"Sacko, I don't want to tempt fate here, but he's exciting," he said to LUTV. "And what he is is just pace. Absolute pace.
"When you look at the modern game you've got to be dynamic and that real ability to cover ground and he's got the pace to do it. I think he could be quite the find."
The former Bordeaux flier could be involved on Saturday as Leeds host Serie A side Atalanta at Elland Road in the final pre-season friendly before the Championship season begins.
United kick off the domestic campaign with a trip to Queens Park Rangers on August7.
Sacko was Monk's third summer signing, after Marcus Antonsson and Kyle Bartley, and before Matt Grimes, Kemar Roofe and Rob Green.
