Brentford's Alex Pritchard celebrates scoring their first goal

According to a report from West London Sport, Queens Park Rangers have entered the race for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alex Pritchard.

The 23-year-old is surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane after Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said Pritchard was among those not in his plans for next season, and a return to the Championship could now be on the cards.

Pritchard enjoyed a superb spell on loan at Brentford two years ago and now QPR will allegedly try to use their Tottenham connections to conclude a loan deal with the option to buy next summer.

That could be a problem though, with the Independent claiming Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants £9million for Pritchard.

The same report claims Spurs have also put a £10million price tag on Nabil Bentaleb; a potential bargain fee if the Algerian international can replicate his best form with another team.

Pritchard is certainly talented but £9million for a player with just two senior appearances for his parent club appears a bit of a stretch at this stage.

There is still no news regarding Georges-Kevin N’Koudou’s much anticipated move to White Hart Lane, which looks like dragging on longer than Vincent Janssen’s switch from AZ Alkmaar.

Spurs fans will not be worried if there is ultimately the same outcome though.

And finally, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed his side were interested in bringing Clinton N’Jie back to France in an interview with Foot Mercato.

The Cameroon international is instead expected to leave Tottenham on loan for Marseille but Aulas suggested that if the player had his way he would have opted for a return to his former team.
