Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Tom Glover has admitted to the club's official website that it is "surreal" for him to be training with so many big-name players.

The 18-year-old was included in Tottenham's squad for the pre-season trip to Australia and made the bench for their 2-1 defeat by Juventus this afternoon.

With Spurs scheduled to face Atletico Madrid on Friday, Glover might well be involved in some capacity, with first-choice Hugo Lloris omitted due to his Euro 2016 adventures.

In fact, every Lilywhites player whose country progressed beyond the group stage at the competition has been left at home, but there are still plenty of big names in Australia with the team such as new signings Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen.

And Glover - who is an Aussie himself, hailing from Sydney - admits that he is just a bit starstruck on the club's tour of his nation this summer.

“The Club has given me a great opportunity, especially at such a young age. I’m only 18 and working with these players is surreal," he told Tottenham's website.

“I learn every day, especially working under Toni Jimenez (coach) with the likes of Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm. I’m trying to take the opportunity with both hands.”

Glover is unlikely to be involved in Spurs' first team this season, with Vorm quite a capable back-up to Frenchman Lloris.
