Rangers made it four wins and four clean sheets in four games as they beat Stranaer 3-0 in the Scottish League Cup on Monday evening.

The Gers had already beaten Motherwell, Annan Athletic and East Stirlingshire in the Scottish League Cup without conceding a goal, and did it again against Stranraer.

Striker Martyn Waghorn put Rangers in front with an early penalty, before notching his second within 20 minutes to effectively end the game as a contest.

Summer signing Niko Kranjcar added his first goal for the club with a second half strike, and give manager Mark Warburton yet another win ahead of the Scottish Premiership campaign.

After the game, a number of Rangers players took to Twitter in order to send messages to supporters, with goalkeeper Wes Foderingham celebrating another clean sheet.

Right back James Tavernier congratulated team-mate Martyn Waghorn for his brace, and youngster Jordan Thompson noted it was a 'great performance' from the Gers.

New signing Joe Dodoo was happy to get more minutes on the pitch following his move from Leicester City, whilst Josh Windass and Harry Forrester also celebrated the victory.

Finally, goalscorer Waghorn sent his own message out, admitting he was 'really pleased' to have found the net twice against Stranraer.
