People News: Blackstone, Barclays

Richard Scarinci, a managing director for Blackstone, joined Partners Capital, which manages $17bn for endowments, foundations and others.

Bloomberg News reports that Scarinci, 34, a co-portfolio manager in Blackstone’s hedge fund solutions group, was named a partner and will manage several large institutional clients in North America beginning in September, Stan Miranda, Partner Capital’s chief executive officer, said Tuesday in a statement.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that Jonathan Beebe, who helped lead equities trading at Barclays, has left the bank after four years.

Beebe, 43, who joined in 2012 to help run the stock-trading business in Europe, is departing to “take a break from the industry” and spend more time with his family, according to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg News. Beebe’s latest role was head of global equities liquid markets, according to his LinkedIn page, and the lender didn’t name a replacement for him in the memo.
