The Foxes took on Celtic in Glasgow, with the match finishing 1-1 after normal time and Claudio Ranieri's side going on to win on penalties.
The 19-year-old is still yet to make his Premier League debut for last season's league winners, but has caught the eye as a player of much promise in his cup appearances at the King Power Stadium, as well as in a loan spell with Huddersfield.

And Ranieri signified that the England Under-21 defender is set for more appearances next season by giving him the full match at Celtic Park.
Unsurprisingly, Chilwell was delighted with the opportunity, ahead of a campaign competing with Christian Fuchs and Jeffrey Schlupp for minutes.
“It’s a massive stadium and a massive football club and they’ve got some good players," he said of Celtic to the club website. "But we’re a good team as well, so it was a good game. To play 90 minutes is good for my fitness and for my confidence as well.

“It’s a long way from Leicester to here, so 3,000 [Leicester City] fans is a great turn out. They were loud throughout the whole match and obviously the Celtic fans were good as well, so it was a good atmosphere.”
Chilwell also discussed his battle with Bhoys winger Patrick Roberts, who is on loan from Manchester City and also in Gareth Southgate's England Under-21 squad.
“I thought I did well," he added. "I obviously know Pat Roberts from England and he’s the same age as me, so we both know what kind of players we are.

“It was always going to be interesting coming up against each other to see who’d do what. It was a good test to come up against different wingers."
The winger has impressed since heading out to Celtic on an 18-month-loan, scoring seven times in 14 matches last season and already netting once this season.
