Leeds winger Jordan Botaka scotches rumours of a loan move.
Leeds United's Jordan Botaka applauds the fans after the match
Jordan Botaka has dismissed rumours he is heading for a surprise exit at Leeds, confirming he is very much still part of the club.
Last night on social media rumours swirled that Botaka was on trial at Oldham Athletic in a pre-season friendly.
Leeds had already loaned Lee Erwin to the Latics after a disappointing campaign, and after similar struggles it was plausible that Botaka could also be heading out.
The winger though was quick to stub out such talk, insisting that he remains a Leeds player.
Botaka appears set to fight for his place at the club, with added competition this season from Sporting Lisbon loanee Hadi Sacko.
He made only three starts last season after signing from Dutch side Excelsior, and will be hoping for more opportunities this coming campaign.
Last Friday he scored in a 4-3 comeback win over non-league Guiseley, which will have been a good confidence boost for him, his first goal in a Leeds shirt, even if only a pre-season friendly.
