Such a high transfer fee makes him the Reds' second most expensive signing in history, behind Andy Carroll's £35 million switch in 2011.

And the Brazilian schemer says that everybody is impressed by his Senegalese counterpart so far - especially his speed.

"It’s been very good playing with Sadio so far, but if anything he’s too fast! Everyone is very happy with him – he is a nice guy and very good player," he said via The Express.

Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho has a shot at goal

Mane, who joined Southampton in 2014, really came to life last season with a number of show-stealing performances for the Saints.

Of course, he has pace, and power, but he also knows precisely where the goal is after hitting a very impressive 14 goals in all competitions last term - and 24 in total since joining the South-Coast club from Red Bull Salzburg two years ago.

The 24-year-old has a number of qualities which make him such an exciting player and Liverpool fans will be loving him.

He could make his competitive debut on August 14 when Liverpool visit Arsenal on the first weekend of the Premier League season.
