Leicester City's Ben Chilwell in action against Manchester City's Isaac Buckley Ricketts (L)
According to The Sun, Liverpool are set to make one final, last-ditch attempt to sign Leicester City left back Ben Chilwell, despite the youngster being in talks over a new deal.
The Reds have been active in the transfer market this summer, snapping up Loris Karius, Joel Matip, Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum, whilst midfielder Marko Grujic has also arrived to start his Liverpool career.
However, despite so many signings, manager Jurgen Klopp appears to be keen on more additions - and bringing in a new left back appears to be one of his priorities.

Alberto Moreno has blown hot and cold since his 2014 move from Sevilla, and with Brad Smith on his way to Bournemouth and Jose Enrique already released, another left back is a priority for Klopp.
The Sun report that Smith's move to Bournemouth will free up room to bring in another young left back - and Klopp is ready to mount one final attempt to sign Leicester City's Ben Chilwell.

Chilwell, 19, has come up through the ranks at Leicester but has made just three first-team appearances for the Foxes, despite impressing on loan in the Championship with Huddersfield Town last season.
Chilwell worked with David Wagner during his time at Huddersfield, and the German just happens to be a former coach of Klopp's at Dortmund, and even Klopp's best man at his wedding.

Klopp will have no doubt received glowing reports from Wagner, and the report claims that the Liverpool boss is desperate to land the youngster this summer having so far hit a brick wall in his attempts to sign him.
Chilwell is allegedly in talks over a new five-year deal at Leicester, but Klopp will reportedly lodge one final bid of £8m in an attempt to finally land his man.
Whether that bid is successful remains to be seen, but even if Leicester reject it, it would be little surprise to see Klopp pursue a different left back before the transfer deadline.
