According to the Daily Mail, David Moyes is ready to make an enquiry to try and take Adnan Januzaj on loan from Manchester United.

Moyes was confirmed as the new Sunderland manager on Saturday morning after Sam Allardyce departed to take charge of England.

He will be keen to get their transfer business underway as soon as possible, with the Black Cats yet to sign a player in a frustrating summer so far.

And according to the Daily Mail, one man he is set to enquire about is Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj, whom he worked with at Old Trafford.

Moyes handed the Belgian his United debut, ironically against Sunderland, back in 2013 and is keen on a reunion with him at the Stadium of Light this summer.

He is looking to build a side capable of achieving more than the annual battle against relegation and clearly he feels Januzaj would be the right signing to help his side do just that.

It is not the first time that the Black Cats have chased his signature either, having also tried to sign him on loan last season also, and they will be hoping this pursuit proves to be a more successful one.
