The new Southampton signing netted from the spot against PEC Zwolle.
Hojbjerg is in among the goals already for Southampton
New Southampton signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has told the club's official YouTube channel that while it is nice to score in pre-season, what he really wants is a goal in the Premier League, FA Cup or the Europa League.
Hojbjerg earned a penalty in the Saints' friendly against PEC Zwolle after a mazy run through the Dutch side's defence left him through on goal, only to be felled as he was about to pull the trigger.
The Dane dusted himself down and scored the spot-kick, one of four goals that Southampton scored in a comfortable 4-0 win.

But while admitting it is nice to score, Hojbjerg hopes he will be able to find the net when it really matters during the competitive season.
"It was a friendly game, so of course it's nice to make a goal, but it's in the Premier League, the Cup or the Europa League which counts," he said. "Right now, it's a nice feeling but it doesn't give you anything."
Hojbjerg joined Southampton earlier this month
Hojbjerg joined Southampton earlier this month from Bayern Munich, for a fee thought to be in the region of £12 million.
Despite only being 20, Hojbjerg has plenty of experience having already amassed 15 caps for his country.
He is currently with the Southampton squad on their tour of Holland, and after their demolition of Zwolle the Saints face FC Twente at the Q20 Stadium on Wednesday, before rounding off their trip against Groningen next Saturday.
