The young striker joined the club last week, becoming their ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
He has made a positive start to life in Scotland, with a goal on his debut against East Stirlingshire in the Scottish Cup.
There was some surprise about his move given he has left reigning Premier League champions Leicester City to make the move to Ibrox.
But he insists that for him there was no hesitation, citing Gers manager Mark Warburton’s record of developing young talent as a big factor in his decision.
“At Rangers, we have a manager who likes to develop young players. He is going to teach me all that I need to learn,” he told the Daily Mail.
“So, no, I had no hesitation at all about coming here. Rangers is a big club, a huge club, and I am happy to be here. This has always been a big club and that will never change.”
It now remains to be seen what role that Dodoo has to play in the side next season.
He has arguably been brought in to provide back up but given Mark Warburton doesn’t have a number of attacking options to choose from; a first team place could be up for grabs.
He will need to make a positive impression if that is to happen and a goal on his debut was the perfect start to doing just that.
