Coutinho would still like to add more goals to his game after his best season in front of goal for the Reds.
Coutinho found the net on 12 occasions in all competitions last season as his end product showed signs of improvement, but he promises there is more to come and hopes the Reds can kick on this season in their first full campaign under Jurgen Klopp's management.
He told the official Liverpool website: "Of course I can still improve. I always want to be better and to improve. I am here to learn more things and make my game better to help my teammates. I hope this season will be good for us all.
“I think I can improve on everything in my game. 'You always have to improve' – that’s my mentality. What in particular? If I could score more goals and create more chances it’d be nice.”
At the age of 24, it is not hard to think that there is more to come from the Brazilian. His end product evidently improved a little last term but those watching him closely will feel that he can add even more goals to his game.
There is a consensus that whenever Coutinho lines up for Liverpool that the Reds are a more potent and creative force going forward, so if he can add more goals and create more chances then that is only going to enhance the Reds chances of success rather than diminish them.
Following on from a season where the Reds missed out in two cup finals, Coutinho said he is confident ahead of the new campaign as Liverpool look to compete on three fronts next term.
He added: “I am confident for this season. I think everyone feels confident. Last season we had some opportunities but couldn’t take them.
“That has made us stronger and now we are hungry to win titles and to be able to fight.”
