“We had a lot of pace up front with Gerard. Maybe this is a new position for him but I know he played there for Barcelona ‘B’. Because he is very fast, we created a lot of danger from that."

And finally, Kevin Mirallas has revealed how the Blues boss has been giving him tips on how to improve his free-kicks, as reported by the Liverpool Echo:

“I work two or three times a week on my free-kicks. Now, the new manager is someone who had that as a speciality when he played. He’s had a few words with me about shooting and now I’ve scored and I’m very happy."

What a wonderful advantage it could turn out to be to the playing squad in having someone of Koeman's calibre at the helm.
