Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested that Leeds United winger Hadi Sacko caught his eye during a friendly match at the ABAX Stadium yesterday.

Leeds lost 2-1 to Posh on Saturday afternoon, with Garry Monk’s side unbeaten record in pre-season coming to an end.

Leeds had taken the lead in the fixture through Alex Mowatt and their first-half performance was highly impressive.

However, Posh flew out of the blocks in the second half and turned things around thanks to two goals from Shaquille Coulthirst.

Kemar Roofe was the Leeds player who received the most praise, but MacAnthony was impressed by Sacko’s energetic display.

Another player who shone in the fixture with Marcus Maddison, who was at the heart of everything good Posh did.

Maddison has previously been linked with Leeds, but MacAnthony has suggested that there is no chance the former Newcastle United man will be moving to Elland Road this summer.

MacAnthony also felt that Leeds needed to add a few more players before they could be considered genuine promotion contenders.
