Kevin Mirallas, Gerard Deulofeu and Ross Barkley all found the net at Oakwell, giving Koeman a great start to pre-season with just three weeks to go until the Premier League kicks off.

Everton fans were unsurprisingly pleased with the performance, but were clearly paying close attention to the performance of winger Mirallas.

The Belgian international, 28, endured a frustrating campaign last season, as he made just ten Premier League starts having fallen out of favour under Roberto Martinez.

Mirallas still managed to score four goals, but is now looking for a new lease of life under Martinez's replacement Koeman - and he got off to a great start by scoring a fine free kick against Barnsley.
