Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton parade the 1994/95 Premier League title they won for Blackburn Rovers
Former Premier League title winner Chris Sutton has predicted this season's trophy will be won by Manchester City.
Sutton was quizzed during an impromptu Twitter question and answer session, and asked who he thinks will win the 2016/17 crown.
The ex-Blackburn Rovers striker said he expects Manchester City to triumph, and ruled out Arsenal as serious contenders.
Sutton, a regular guest on BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club, is evidently expecting immediate success for new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is presented to the fans
Guardiola is coming off the back of winning three successive Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich, and an even more successful prior spell with Barcelona where he won two Champions League trophies as manager.
Competition will no doubt come from former Real Madrid rival Jose Mourinho, now at Manchester United, while Arsenal should be in the mix.
Sutton is evidently not a believer, and his stance is unsurprising given critical comments he made onBBC Radio 5 Live last week, stating: "We've seen them capitulate every year for the past however many years. They're [Arsenal] done."
