Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Kolo Toure has joined the club on a free transfer.

The defender completed a move to Celtic Park on Sunday, signing a one-year deal with the Scottish champions.

He reunites with his former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers at the club after being released by the Reds at the end of last season.

He has been brought in to add some much needed quality to a Celtic defence that continues to come in for stern criticism.

It is also hoped his vast experience can be of benefit to the squad, given that he has spent his career playing in the Premier League and the Champions League.

It now remains to be seen if Toure is the only defensive recruit targeted by Rodgers this summer.

Celtic are lacking quality at the back at present, with many believing they are far from the standard required for Celtic to compete, especially in the Champions League.

Rodgers will likely be more than aware of that and it will be interesting to see if he believes that Toure is enough or looks to target further additions while he can.
