The 20-year-old impressed in Aston Villa's latest victory.
Aston Villa continued their pre-season preparations with a narrow 1-0 victory over French side Nantes in a friendly on Saturday.
A relatively dull affair came to life on 71 minutes when Rudy Gestede stroked home a cushioned header from Nathan Baker, who rose highest to meet a Jack Grealish corner.
Aston Villa's Jack Grealish in action
Roberto Di Matteo's side have now won four of their five pre-season friendlies - last week's 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers being the only blemish for an otherwise flawless start to life under the Italian manager, who was named as Remi Garde's successor last month.
Perhaps the victory hinged on Grealish's second-half arrival, with the young midfielder giving Aston Villa a sense of urgency following his arrival and it was his delivery which ultimately led to Gestede's winner.
The 20-year-old - who was also booked for a silly foul in the final quarter - pleased a lot of Aston Villa fans on Twitter afterwards.
Not sure what to make of that performance, decent win but Grealish seems to have no end product, game was very unfriendly #avfc— Paul (@Paul_725) July 23, 2016
Decent corner from Grealish too— . (@MLAV1874) July 23, 2016
Good result that - defended well thanks to the leadership of Elphick. Still worry about our creativity without Grealish on the field. #avfc— Villa Views (@ViewsVilla) July 23, 2016
Grealish had like a third of an assist, so proud of his beautiful face xxxxxx— play larsson, david. (@bekahv7) July 23, 2016

It's a massive season for Grealish, who has endured a tough time in and out of football over the past 13 months or so. He struggled to win regular football under Garde - who replaced Tim Sherwood in November - and had previously been injured.
This time last year, Grealish had been photographed asleep on a road during a holiday in an image which prompted concern over whether he would fulfill his potential.
With Aston Villa now in the Championship, the Villans need a hero this season and many will be looking to Grealish to be that man - including Di Matteo, perhaps.
