The Scottish Premiership side appear to have been monitoring the full-back for quite some time.
Hasan Ali Kaldirim, right, coming up against Ajax
Celtic are considering a swoop for Fenerbahce left-back Hasan Ali Kaldirim as Brendan Rodgers continues to try and bolster his defensive ranks ahead of the new season, the Daily Record reports.
The Record claims that the Hoops have maintained an interest in the 26-year-old since he impressed against them in last season's Europa League clashes between the two clubs, and have since sent scouts to monitor his progress.
The Turkey international is about to enter the final year of his contract, the Record reports. And while Fenerbahce had hoped to agree a new deal, the fact that talks have stalled could perhaps tempt the club into selling him this summer to prevent losing him on a free next year.
The Record adds that Kaldirim will cost around £2m if the Bhoys hope to sign him during this window.

Although Kaldirim would arguably be an excellent addition to the squad - he helped Fener finish second in the Super Lig last season with the best defensive record of any team in the division, while he also contributed five assists going forward - he is perhaps not the signing that Celtic supporters were hoping for at this stage of the window.
With Kieran Tierney continuing to develop into one of the brightest talents in the British game, and Emilio Izaguirre currently providing a solid level of support, the left-back position arguably boasts more depth than anywhere else in defence.

Meanwhile, the club are in serious need of adding depth in the centre of the back-line, so perhaps some supporters would want any move for Kaldirim put on the back-burner until that issue is rectified.
