Rangers made it three wins from three in the Scottish League Cup on Friday evening as they swept East Stirlingshire aside in a 3-0 victory.

Having beaten both Motherwell and Annan Athletic 2-0 in the last week, Rangers then headed to East Stirlingshire on Friday night to notch a third straight win - and third straight clean sheet too.

Andy Halliday got the ball rolling with an early penalty, and summer signing Josh Windass struck a second before half time to put Mark Warburton's men in cruise control.

Warburton then handed a Rangers debut to forward Joe Dodoo, who joined the club on a four-year deal from Leicester City earlier this week, as the 21-year-old came on as a substitute with 30 minutes to play.

The Ghanaian-born attacker made an instant impression for his new club, scoring a close-range tap-in following great work down the left-hand side from full back Lee Wallace.

It was a dream debut for Dodoo, and having already opened his account for the Gers, Rangers fans are clearly excited about their newest signing.

Rangers supporters took to Twitter on Friday night to react to Dodoo's performance, noting that he's off to a great start and already looks like a good signing, even if he's a little raw.

Fans also suggested that Dodoo's goal showed just what he'll add to the team, as Rangers have needed a striker to get on the end of crosses from close-range, and that's what Dodoo may bring judging from his first 30 minutes in a Rangers shirt.
