Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted to the Liverpool Echo he may look to add one more player to his squad this summer.

It has been a busy transfer window at Anfield so far, with no fewer than seven new players arriving at the club.

The latest to agree a move was forward Georginio Wijnaldum as he completed his transfer on Friday, with the Reds paying Newcastle United £25 million for his services.

It would not have been surprising if he was the last to arrive, but Klopp has hinted that he may look to make one more addition in the remainder of the transfer window.

“I speak with (FSG president) Mike Gordon regularly and we're working on different fronts, working here, developing this, bringing together this,” he told the Liverpool Echo.

“We're in a good way. We don't need to make another three or four signings, maybe one more, maybe not. We have already bought seven players. That's a big number.”

It remains to be seen what position that Klopp would look to add in should he target another signing this summer.

His squad is well stocked at this moment in time, and considering they only have the Premier League to focus on next season, he does not need large numbers to choose from.

Perhaps his work will be determined by who leaves the club instead, with a striker potentially targeted if the likes of Christian Benteke should depart as expected.
