According to the Chronicle, Georginio Wijnaldum is set to increase his wages by £15,000-per-week by joining Liverpool.
The forward is expected to complete a move to Anfield in the coming days after they had a £25 million offer for his services accepted by Newcastle United.
The move will see the Magpies nearly double the fee that they paid PSV Eindhoven for him when he joined the club last summer.

And it transpires they are not the only ones to profit from the move, with Wijnaldum set to see a tangible improvement in his wages.
According to the Chronicle, he is set to sign a five-year deal with Jurgen Klopp’s side and will pick up a wage increase of £15,000-per-week, which will take his basic pay packet up to £75,000-per-week.

The Dutchman will now be keen to prove that he justifies those wages as he looks to establish himself as a first team star on Merseyside.
It will certainly be interesting to see how he fits into Jurgen Klopp’s line up given that the German boss has several attacking midfielders all wanting to play in the number ten role at present.
