Everton are said to be targeting Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson in a £25 million deal.
According to a report in the Telegraph, Everton have made Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson one of their top targets this summer.
Everton are yet to make a big money addition since Ronald Koeman has taken charge, but they are expected to invest heavily in their squad over the coming weeks.
Farhad Moshiri’s investment has provided Everton with a large amount of money to spend.
And the Telegraph claim that Koeman plans to spend some of his vast transfer budget on Sigurdsson.
Swansea want £25 million for the attacking midfielder, but Everton are said to be willing to meet the Welsh side’s asking price.
Steve Walsh, who has recently joined Everton from Leicester City as their director of football, has identified Sigurdsson as a great addition for the Merseyside club.
Koeman also had Sigurdsson on his wishlist, and Everton are now set to make a move for the Icelandic international.
Sigurdsson scored 11 goals for Swansea in all competitions last season.
