Clinton N’Jie joined Tottenham Hotspur at the start of last season for a fee of around £8.3 million and there was a lot of expectation that the Cameroonian international would be a good signing for Spurs.
Unfortunately though, N’Jie was unable produce his best at White Hart Lane last term and the 22-year-old was not helped by a serious knee injury, which ruled him out for the majority of the season.
In total, N’Jie featured for around only 184 minutes of action in the Premier League and there have been widespread reports that the winger is now looking for an exit from Tottenham this summer.
Recently, the Guardian had gone on to claim that Marseille were on the verge of signing N’Jie on a season long loan deal and that Georges-Kévin Nkoudou would be going the other way for around £11 million.
According to reports from L'Equipe though, N’Jie’s move to Marseille is not a done deal as of yet and now even Olympique Lyonnais have entered the race to sign the Tottenham man.
N’Jie joined Tottenham from Lyon and he could well consider returning back to the Parc Olympique Lyonnais over Marseille as they will be participating in the Champions League during the upcoming season.
