Manninger has been training with the Reds during pre-season.
Alexander Manninger - Juventus
Manninger has been training with the Reds this summer, and is on the club's pre-season tour of the United States, and the 39-year-old is likely to act as back-up to Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet throughout the season.
The Austrian has plenty of experience having played for Arsenal in the Premier League where he was part of the double winning squad in 1998, Serie A giants Jvenuts and was latterly the back-up keeper for Augsburg.
The Echo's report says he could feature against Chelsea on the club's pre-season tour of the United States next week.

It's certainly an interesting signing for Liverpool as it seems manager Jurgen Klopp both wants some more experience around the squad, and someone who is prepared to watch from the sidelines for much of the season by being third in the goalkeeping pecking order.
Manninger would certainly provide experience and pedigree to a relatively inexperienced squad - and Klopp will be looking at the character of whatever player he brings into his camp and will be hoping for some sort of contribution off the field even if the Austrian's time on the field will be limited to the say the least.
