Club Brugge have beaten Leeds United to the signature of Anthony Limbombe, according to reports from Voetbalkrant.
It is no secret that Leeds United have been very keen on securing the services of Anthony Limbombe for quite a while now (YEP) and following much frustration, it seemed like the Whites would be able to land the services of the NEC winger after he walked out of training without permission last week.
Following his breach of discipline, a number of other clubs have also ramped up their pursuit for Limbombe and it had been claimed recently that even Club Brugge were ready to make a move for the 22-year-old.
Now as a huge blow to Leeds, Voetbalkrant have gone on to reveal that Brugge have managed to reach an agreement with NEC for Limbombe and the winger is now set to arrive at the Jan Breydel Stadium on Friday to complete his medical.
The exact details of the transfer fee or indeed Limbombe’s wages have not been revealed by the report but the youngster is set to sign a four year deal with the Belgian giants.
Leeds’ pursuit of Limbombe dates back to last summer (YEP) and the Whites will most certainly be very disappointed at missing out on their top target following such a long courtship.
