Reports in Turkey are suggesting that Nottingham Forest striker Lars Veldwijk is being courted by Galatasaray.

As Marca Tr report that the Dutch striker is wanted in a potential €3.2 million (£2.7 million) deal after the frontman impressed during a loan spell at PEC Zwolle last season.

The move would come as a surprise, considering the current political situation in Turkey at present, but Veldwijk’s future at the City Ground is certainly up for debate.

After a poor first season at the club he went on to depart Forest for Zwolle last summer and went on to perform well in the Dutch Eredivisie – scoring 14 goals in 35 appearances for the club.

This form has seen him being tipped for a better run at Forest in the 2016-17 campaign, or indeed a sale whilst Forest can demand a reasonably high transfer fee.

Galatasaray are not the only big club to have been linked with his signature recently.

Celtic are said to be keeping tabs on the player, as reported by the Nottingham Post last week, and Forest might very well be tempted to cash in the player.
