Tottenham Hotspur youngster Josh Onomah commented on Twitter last night after England's exit from the under-19 European Championships.

Onomah, 19, is returning to his club for the remainder of pre-season, and made a vow to push himself.

Onomah made his debut for Spurs in 2014/15 in a brief substitute appearance, and earned even more chances last season.

The teenager made eight Premier League appearances as a substitute, and will be determined to get a starting spot this upcoming campaign.

Playing tournament football with England's under-19 can only be to his benefit, and he will hope there is still a chance he has a spot on the club's upcoming tour to Australia.

With Nacer Chadli and Clinton N'Jie potentially on their way out of the club and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou on his way in, there may be a spot for Onomah this season ahead.

Last season he benefited from Alex Pritchard's injury, and Onomah may have to prove in pre-season that he deserves the focus from head coach Pochettino, rather than his fit again teammate.
