A select round-up of the latest Southampton transfer news...

Jordan Lukaku

According to reports by Het Nieuwsblad via Voetbal Krankt, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing a deal for Belgium international left-back Jordan Lukaku.

The KV Ooestende man is the younger brother of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, and he arguably outshone his more renowned big brother on the internatonal stage in France this summer.

The Saints have Ryan Bertrand and Matt Targett as potential left-back options, therefore their reported interest in 21-year-old may come as a surprise to some.

Brighton's Solly March scores their first goal

Another potential transfer target for Southampton this summer is Brighton and Hove Albion’s Solly March, with a report in the Mirror (live transfer thread, July 16th 2016 at 20:53) claiming the winger is set to snub a new contract the Amex Stadium.

The Saints are said to be monitoring the situation, and an offer for the winger is expected to be on the cards should he manage to prove his fitness this summer following a lengthy injury layoff.

Southampton's Cuco Martina in action with Tottenham's Danny Rose

In other news, out of favour right-back Cuco Martina has emerged as a shock target for Everton.

The Sun, Wednesday’s paper edition page 50, claim that newly-appointed boss Ronald Koeman is looking to raid his former club as he seeks reinforcements yet Martina wouldn’t have been the obvious choice.

The Daily Echo say the player who arrived in a £1 million deal is surplus to requirements at St. Mary’s, therefore a switch to the Toffees could happen and without much of a fuss from Southampton’s end.

Tottenham Hotspur's Eric Dier in action with Southampton's Dusan Tadic

Finally, the Daily Mail recently reported that attacking midfielder Dusan Tadic could be a target for Schalke as the German side look for potential replacements for their coveted youngster Leroy Sane.

Tadic has been a big hit with the south coast club since moving to St. Mary’s in 2014, scoring an impressive11 goals in 65 Premier League matches.

The report goes on to say that the Serbia international has received a new contract offer from the Saints, yet following Koeman’s exit he is said to be considering his options at the club.
