Norwich City midfielder Alex Tettey has told the club's official website that a strong start will be key to their promotion push next season.

Last season brought about a number of frustrations for the Norway international, who was forced to watch most of last term's Premier League final run-in from the sidelines due to an ankle injury picked up in City's 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in March.

Norwich, along with Newcastle United and Aston Villa are many people's favourites for promotion next season, and Tettey is confident the Canaries have enough about them to secure an instant return to the Premier League.

Norwich open their account with a trip to Blackburn Rovers on August 6th, and Tettey says his side need hit the ground running at Ewood Park.

Tettey will know all about what takes to win promotion from the second tier after making a telling contribution to Norwich's successful 2014/15 campaign, which saw them go up courtesy of a 2-0 play-off final win over Middlesbrough.
