The 22-year-old was linked with Tottenham Hotspur last week as The Express named him and Yunus Malli as back-up options incase they fail to sign Georgino Wijnaldum.
The Mail reported today that Tottenham had pulled out of the race to sign the Dutch winger, meaning that the interest in Boufal or Malli might yet be rekindled.
Elsewhere, Southampton have also been linked with the Morocco international as French manager Claude Puel was credited with an interest, but L’Equipe later reported that the Southampton boss had cooled his interest in the schemer.
But Boufal may not be leaving the Ligue 1 side after all, admitting that he could end up quitting the club but says he is also willing to stick around if certain conditions are not met.

“Personally I have never said that I will leave Lille; not a word came out of my mouth," he told L'Equipe, via Inside Futbol.
“However, if a club come up with an offer that is feasible for everyone, we will all discuss it together.
“But if all the conditions of a transfer are not fulfilled, it won’t bother me to stay at Lille.”
The Mail reported today that Marseille ace Kevin N'Koudou is set for a medical at Tottenham which may or may not affect their reported interest in Boufal.
