A report in the Daily Mail has claimed that Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Brentford prospect Joshua Bohui

The youngster - who is a midfielder, but is more than capable of playing up front - is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Bees, but has been training at the Red Devils' training ground in recent weeks and has clearly done enough to impress as the Mail claims that he will be part of the club's under-18 squad next season.

The 17-year-old has represented England at youth level so clearly has plenty of potential, and it appears that he has decided that Jose Mourinho and his backroom team are the men to get the best out of him.

The news of Bohui's arrival shows that the new United boss is not just thinking about bringing players to the club who can immediately contribute to the first-team.

One of the main criticisms of Mourinho's work has been the apparent small number of young players that get a chance to play in the senior side, but Bohui signing would suggest that the Portuguese is still keeping one eye on the future after bolstering his first-team options with the purchases of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan already this summer.
