Leeds United have ended their search for a right-back, according to reports.
According to a report in today’s (20th July 2016) The Sun newspaper, Leeds United are set to sign Reece Wabara.
Leeds have been on the look out for a new right-back all summer, and they appear to be closing in on Wabara.
The 24-year-old is currently out of contract, following his release from Wigan Athletic.
Leeds had gone after Conor McLaughlin of Fleetwood Town at first, but felt that Wabara was a better value-for-money option.
Wabara spent last season helping Wigan get promoted from League One, while he has also represented the likes of Barnsley and Manchester City earlier in his career.
Wabara will be in competition with Gaetano Berardi and Lewie Coyle for a place on the right-hand side of Leeds’ defence, if he does move to Elland Road.
If Leeds sign Wabara, he will become their seventh new arrival of the summer - following the additions of Kemar Roofe, Rob Green, Matt Grimes, Marcus Antonsson, Kyle Bartley and Hadi Sacko.
Leeds' Championship season gets underway at the start of next month, with a match against Queens Park Rangers.
