Juventus' Sami Khedira in action against Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly
According to SportItalia's Alfredo Pedulla, Everton have submitted a stunning €55 (£46m) bid to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Toffees have made just one senior signing this summer as goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg was brought in by new manager Ronald Koeman, but with the new funds from Farhad Moshiri, big signings are expected this summer.

With Phil Jagielka suffering some injury problems last season and speculation surrounding the future of John Stones, Everton could look to invest some considerable money on a new centre back.
Now, SportItalia's Alfredo Pedulla reports that Everton have submitted a stunning £46m bid for Napoli centre back Kalidou Koulibaly - a move which would certainly show Everton's ambitious intentions.

Koulibaly, 25, has become one of Serie A's top defenders since his 2014 move from Genk, and his impressive displays in Italy last season appear to have triggered major interest.
It's now claimed that Everton have submitted a bid of €55m (£46m) for Koulibaly, which would shatter their transfer record, set at £28m for Romelu Lukaku in the summer of 2014.

The report also adds that Everton have beaten Chelsea's offer of €45m (£38m), and whilst Napoli are reluctant to sell, they know that the money on offer is astronomical, and have even eyed up Torino's Nikola Maksimovic if Koulibaly does leave.
A strong, powerful and aerially dominant defender, Koulibaly also has great pace and ability on the ball, and appears to be the perfect Premier League defender.
With Everton looking to splash the cash, Koulibaly could be their marquee summer signing - and whilst it's a huge fee involved, he may well be worth the money for Koeman and Everton.
