Long-term Rangers target Khalid Aucho is all set for his trial spell with Aberdeen.

The Ugandan accepted an invitation to head to Aberdeen three weeks ago but has been waiting on his visa to be approved to head to Scotland for a trial period.

Kawowo have now confirmed he has the visa necessary to make the trip to the North of Scotland – with Aucho himself posting on his Facebook page:

“Finally have got it thanks lord for everything you’re the best God.”

It comes with Aucho now a free agent. His registration with former team Gor Mahia was expunged, according to the report, so that he could seek a career in European football.

For a long time it appeared he was on his way to Ibrox to join up with Mark Warburton’s men.

Warburton and Rangers looked all set to cast their eye over the former Gor Mahia midfielder this summer, after it was confirmed he was set to head to Glasgow for a trial recently by Goal.com.

Aucho then clarified his position, telling Supersport he was actually on his way to Scotland for a trial with Aberdeen – and not the Ibrox side.

Finally, three weeks down the line, he will fly to Scotland tomorrow in attempt to win a contract at Pittodrie.

Rangers have been linked with Aucho’s signature for much of the summer but it looks increasingly likely that Aucho is set for Pittodrie and not Ibrox this summer.
