Brentford have made a bid for in-demand Exeter City youngster Ollie Watkins, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Watkins is regarded as one of the best young prospects in the Football League after bursting onto the scene with Exeter last season.
The 20-year-old scored nine goals in 22 appearances and scooped the Football League's Young Player of the Month award for March.
Watkins also hit the headlines with a goal of the season contender with a stunning winner in his side's victory over Devon rivals Plymouth at the start of April.

Bournemouth are understood to be admirers of Watkins and are monitoring his situation as Eddie Howe weighs up a move for the midfielder during the transfer window.
