Leeds United have some young players looking to earn permanent deals this summer.

Leeds United’s under-21 side defeated Bridlington Town 6-3 in a pre-season friendly at the weekend, with three unnamed trialists finding the net.

All Leeds fans had to go on was a picture of one of the goal-scorers; his face obscured ensuring no one is completely sure who the players are. So you can be sure that there is going to be plenty of interest in the second string’s latest match against Tadcaster Albion this evening.

Leeds take an under-21 team to the non-league side this evening with plenty of trialists expected to be involved, although it remains to be seen if it will be as many as the six that featured in the last outing.

These matches are the perfect opportunity for players to impress and hopefully earn full-time contracts at Elland Road in time for next season.

More goals will certainly help, as will solid all round performances, especially with some of Leeds’ current under-21 side hoping to make the step up to Garry Monk’s senior squad for what promises to be a very exciting campaign in the Championship.
