Rangers manager Mark Warburton celebrates winning the Scottish Championship with the trophy

Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton has confirmed that he will make changes to his team for their match against Annan Athletic in the Scottish League Cup tomorrow.

Rangers won their first competitive match of the season against Motherwell 2-0 at the weekend.

In that fixture Warburton stuck by the players who had got Rangers promoted - and he opted against starting any of his eight new summer signings.

However, Warburton has suggested that some of the fresh faces could be handed starts against Annan.

Josh Windass and Niko Kranjcar look the most likely players to start for Rangers in the match, after they came off the substitutes’ bench to good impact against Motherwell.

Joey Barton could also make his Rangers debut, as Warburton has previously suggested that the midfielder could feature.

Rangers could also have wrapped up a deal for Leicester City striker Joe Dodoo before the match kicks-off, according to the Daily Express.

Both Matt Crooks and Jordan Rossiter will not feature, however, as the pair are currently unavailable.
