HITC Sport understands Newcastle striker is a loan target for a number of clubs.
Barnsley's Ivan Toney celebrates at the end of the match
A host of Football League clubs are chasing Newcastle United striker Ivan Toney on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
The 20-year-old joined Newcastle last summer from Northampton Town and he made four appearances in his debut season for the then Premier League club.

Toney is highly-regarded at Newcastle, but with his first-team chances set to be limited next season the club could decide to send him out on loan so that he can get regular first-team action under his belt.
A number of clubs are keeping tabs on Toney's situation at St James' Park and have made enquiries about taking the striker on loan.
Sheffield United, Oxford United and Toney's former club Northampton are all understood to be keen on signing the striker on loan as they look to bolster their attacking options.
Toney enjoyed two loan spells at Barnsley last season scoring two goals in eight appearances for the League One side before being recalled in January by Newcastle after an injury to Papiss Cisse.
The striker suffered an ankle injury which ruled him out for three months before he returned to Barnsley for a second loan in March until the end of the season.
