Georginio Wijnaldum celebrates after scoring the first goal for Newcastle
Wijnaldum struck 11 goals last season but could not prevent their relegation to the Championship, but left the season with his reputation largely intact.
His season included some memorable moments, especially his four goal blitz in the 6-2 win over Norwich.

Everton and Tottenham have also been linked to the Dutchman but it is Liverpool's interest - first reported by HITC Sport a fortnight ago - which has really got fans talking.
Supporters are hoping to land a Liverpool player in return, namely ex-Burnley striker Danny Ings, whose role in the first team at Anfield next year is yet to be determined after an injury hit campaign.

One thing is for sure, and that is this is a scenario Newcastle will not want to be ongoing all summer.
The longer they take to sell Wijnaldum, the shorter time period they have to sign a replacement, and the canny Rafa Benitez will surely already have a list of targets he wants to bring into the club.
Here is a look at what Newcastle fans had to say about the latest developments...
I'd be absolutely ecstatic if Wijnaldum joins Liverpool, heart the size of a pea and turns up once every six weeks. #nufc— Craig Forsyth (@Border_Artist) July 17, 2016
Surprised Liverpool are in for Wijnaldum. Not sure how he'll fit in their team but hope we get this sorted soon to free up funds. #NUFC— Mark (@SnedNE25) July 17, 2016
Be sad to see Wijnaldum leave. Cracking player on his day but another one who doesn't do it often enough #NUFC— Adam Smith (@ASmithSJ) July 17, 2016
I know he went missing at times last season & his departure is somewhat inevitable but ill be gutted if/when Wijnaldum leaves #nufc— Toon Stew (@toonarmyblog) July 17, 2016
