Liverpool are looking good in pre-season but have bigger challenges to come.
Liverpool continued their fine start to pre-season with a 2-0 victory against Wigan Athletic on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds followed up their 5-0 win against Fleetwood Town by dispatching the newly promoted Championship side with relative ease, as goals from Danny Ings and 16-year-old Ben Woodburn ensured it was a job well down for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Woodburn also scored against Fleetwood and despite his tender age he is enhancing his reputation by the week.
Able to play either on the left wing or up front Woodburn will be hoping to make his breakthrough for the under-21s next season, although on this evidence there will be some calls for him to be fast-tracked.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Liverpool fans thought of Woodburn’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Ben Woodburn is just class

Ben Woodburn looks a talented kid. Gets into the right places, strong, good touch, knows where the goal is. #LFC

Should we give Woodburn a chance in the EPL? I mean, he's been playing pretty good in the preseason so far. #LFCtour
