But the Slovenia international hasn't given up hope of impressing the St. James' Park boss.

Vuckic was on target in the Magpies Under 21s' 5-1 win against Darlington on Saturday, having recently returned from a loan spell at Wigan Athletic, where he scored twice in 15 appearances.
Despite injury restricting his involvement in the Latics' title winning campaign, Newcastle's relegation appeared to have increased the 23 year old's chances of breaking into the first team set up - seven years after his arrival at the club from Domzale.
But Vuckic told the Chronicle: "Yes - at the moment I’m not in his plans.

"But hopefully with my games I can show him that I can at least deserve a chance and that he can try me in different positions.
"Hopefully he will do that."
Vuckic made his Newcastle debut in August 2009 - before any current Magpies player bar Tim Krul, who had done likewise two weeks earlier.
Of the Magpies' current crop, only Krul made his debut before Vuckic
However, the Slovenia international has since led a nomadic existence, spending time on loan to Cardiff City, Rotherham United and Rangers before the spell at Wigan.
Vuckic scored an impressive eight goals in 15 league outings for Rangers
According to the Chronicle another loan deal looks likely for Vuckic, who could be on his last chance to impress on Tyneside with his contract due to expire at the end of the coming campaign.
